I love movies and try to see each film that is nominated for an Oscar. I did pretty well this year. My two favorite films were The Separation and The Help. A film that did not get a nomination that I thought should--Melancholia

Where was "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close"? What a wonderful, heart-felt movie. Best performance by Tom Hanks in years. Also, no "Margin Call"? Finally, "Moneyball was too low!!! Definitely was much better than "Midnight in Paris".

2011 was a great year for movies. My 2 favorites were "Margin Call" and "Moneyball". It looks like it will be "The Artists" this year. Not to be to down on "The Artist", but didn't "Singing in the Rain" win the Oscar for Best Film in like 1952? Isn't "The Artist" just a black and white, silent film version of "Singing in the Rain"? Many silent movie stars did not make the transion to "Talkies". We get it. I just thought "Moneyball" had the most heart of any movie last year and that the relationship between Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill was the best we saw on the "big screen" in 2011. Also, "Margin Call" was extremely underated. It explained the "big fail" of 2008 better than any other movie has. I really appreciate the Ambler and the great movie it shows year round. I can not wait for my next visit to the "Ambler Theatre". Thank you and good luck at the Oscar party!!

Just saw a 2011 film listed by NY Times as on of the top 25 of the year which I would rate in my top 5 - not sure if this was shown at Ambler - but I highly recommend it - it is a South Korean film called "Poetry"

One of the best films I've ever seen. Even people who thought they would nevert give a silent film a chance have been pleasantly surprised. The story, the acting and the music are all memorable.

Kathleen,

Thank you for your comment and for your request for more screenings. We will do what we can to get extra screenings added, but at the moment I am not sure if we are going to be able to add evening screenings. Due to our partnerships with our distributors and the fact that we are knee-deep in Oscar season, it gets complicated in how many Limited Engagement shows we can add and where we can place them.

That said, we hear you and will make sure that if an opportunity presents itself we can get some extra screenings in.

Thanks again for your comment.

Yes The Artist is charming and the acting and music just perfect. But was I the only one to find the storyline a little thin?
