Where will you be watching the Oscars?

On March 7 the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will bestow its highest honor, the Oscar, recognizing top achievement in the industry.  But the Hollywood razzle-dazzle of this gala event is not limited to Los Angeles. The Ambler Theater’s annual Oscar Party and Birthday Celebration brings the best of the awards to Ambler: live music, incredible food and drink, great company, and the Red Carpet and Oscars in stunning high definition.

This year has been a good year for movies, and the Ambler Theater has featured many of these spectacular films. Nominated films Crazy Heart, Up in the Air, The Hurt Locker, An Education, Precious, Julie & Julia, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, The Young Victoria, Bright Star, Coco Before Chanel, Food, Inc., Paris 36, In the Loop, and A Serious Man all played on our screens. But which will take home the prizes? The Academy has shaken things up a bit and nominated ten films instead of the usual five for Best Picture, so there is more competition this year.

Well, the Academy is not the only one who can mix things up.  We have added some exciting new features and giveaways to this year’s party.  You can take advantage of VIP seating to claim the best seats in the house early, incredible raffle prizes including an exclusive restaurant basket and a HD TV, and an interactive poll that will allow you to vote for your favorites and instantly enter you to win a free membership to the theater.  We also might have a celebrity impersonator or two… Of course, we still have all of the classic elements that have made the Oscar party our signature event: fantastic music by the New Impressionists, an incredible spread from Wild Blue Creative Catering, a beer/wine bar, and the Academy Awards broadcast on all three screening in crisp, stunning HD.

The only questions that remain are: Will Jeff Bridges finally win a Best Actor Award? Is Avatar going to clean up and take home both Best Picture and Best Director? Will Meryl Streep beat out the competition and take home another Best Actress Oscar? And most importantly, will you be joining us?!
