A masterpiece of suspense with a large helping of guilt and anxiety, STRANGERS is Hitchcock at the top of his game.  Robert Walker gives a mesmerizing performance as a peculiar man who meets tennis star Farley Granger on a train. Their casual banter turns to a discussion of strangers doing “exchange murders”. Amusing, but one of them is serious.
