The New York Times created an interactive article Dissecting a Trailer: The Parts of the Films that Made the Cut, which breaks down five trailers showing “how scenes from five of the nine best picture nominees were reassembled to promote the films.” The five films they broke down are Silver Linings Playbook, Lincoln, Amour, Argo, and Beasts of the Southern Wild. It is a really fascinating page. (Thanks to Pam McCloskey for finding this one.)
